Overview:

After crossing the Rhine, most actions consisted of mopping up pockets of scattered and demoralized Germans. One such pocket was the village of Bergen, held by the 117th Replacement Panzergrenadier Battalion. A troop of Churchill Crocodile Flame-throwing tanks were attached to the 91 st Camerons to provide close support for clearing the village. The British forces were greeted by sporadic mortar fire from a hidden enemy as they inched their way forward through the wet and muddy terrain. Passing a rubbled farmhouse, the attack ground forward.
Attacker: British (141st Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps and 91st Camerons)

2017-03-12(D) Vic Lauterbach vs EL British winThis one lived up to its classic status. Only one Croc got through the mud, as in the real battle, and it disabled its MA the next turn, but its FT took out the occupants of two locations including my 7-0 and radio in EE5 Level 1. I traded my 6+1 and a squad for the British 7-0 and three squads in a melee that lasted three turns, but the Croc FT and British HMG rof were too much. The Croc stayed two hexes away, and every PF missed. GT7 saw my last two units break in X8 and W8, and it was over.
2011-08-21(D) Andy Beaton vs Richard Hooks German winBritish conceded after losing half infantry and all 3 Crocs to good German dice
