Overview:

After heading north from Huili, the Red Army endured crossing through Li country. This same region had seen tens of thousands of rebels trapped and killed 70 years earlier. To escape the trap, they would need to cross the Dadu River. The ferry crossing at Anshunchang gave the most hope. The garrison at Anshunchang had been ordered to keep the ferries on the east bank, out of the reach of the Red Army. Unfortunately the garrison commander had taken one of the ferries across the river to visit his in laws. The fast moving Red Army captured the west bank, the commander, and the all important boat.

2022-04-20(D) Jobbo Fett vs Hypnobeard KMT winThe two mortars shot 3 times, broke three times, and one was eliminated while attempting to repair. The boat arrived too late for the reinforcements to do much. The reds couldn't manage any good IFT rolls except for 2 below average, and my conscripts survived with pins, rather than breaking. In the CC Phase, I dodged any and all potential ambushes, and followed up with murderous results. If it wasn't for the unlikely victories in CC thinning out the lines, we may have lasted longer than Turn 2. As it stood, there wasn't a way to expect a victory for the CCP player.
