Overview:
There were a number of plans to take Shaggy Ridge from the Japanese but few stood any real chance of success due to the imposing nature of the terrain and te defenses. But one confident company commander claimed his unit could do it. So, ignoring the proposals from other more senior officers, the high command said yes to what many regarded was a suicide mission. . . . . Australian attack by 2 half squads, 1 hero, and one leader, against 3 Japanese Soldiers and a leader in two pillboxes. The only hexes in play are hill hexes between hexrows I and N.
