Overview:

troop 6, pf the French commandos, landed with only 2 casualties as it came ashore in the second wave of "Operation infatuate". Their immediate objective was to rush through the city to take control of a vital crossroad nicknamed "Bexhill" in order to stop any German reinforcements coming from the northern part of the town. However, the heavy weapons contingent in Troop 4, that should have supported them in this effort, took serious casualties during the landing and were further delayed trying to recover their mortars. Nonetheless, the commandos began their dash through the darkened streets of Flushing.

2020-04-28(D) Andrea Noia vs Andrea Mozzati German winGerman initial force is very weak (half conscripts) and try to avoid easy shots from powerful french at all costs. An organized fighting withdrawal was successful since it slowed down the Free French a lot. If the commandos are not around the boulevard by turn 5 is almost impossible to win for them IMHO.
2019-02-19(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Maurizio Grassi British winFree French are powerful and Germans are brittle, but that boulevard is distant and 10 VPs difference are a lot. Maurizio put his main line of resistence too far away and taking some risks I was able to capture his entire force.
2018-11-19(D) patrick palma vs Juan German win
2018-02-04(A) Doba Serge vs German win
2016-08-18(D) Jeff B vs Elmo Menon German winWhat should have been a gripping attack/counterattack scenario was really just a fighting withdrawal. The Germans had just enough time to hole up in the last northern stronghold and cover the boulevard with multiple machine guns.
