Overview:

Near Trogstad, the German detachment Gutsche attacked the village of South Hov to clear any roadblock and secure the area. So easily were the Germans overwhelming strongpoints, Captain Gutsche made a bet with his men that they would not meet any strong resistance in Norway. He was unaware that Major Orre defended the village, deploying his company to vigorously fight the invaders.
Attacker: German (Gruppe "Gutsche")
Defender: Norwegian (Kompanie Orre and Regrouping Patrols)

2015-11-07(D) Michael Rodgers vs David Wolfe Norwegian winThis was my only repeat scenario of the weekend. My opponent was Dave Wolfe of Seattle, WA (new opponent to me). We both bid ten building hexes, so we needed to dice for sides; I received the Norwegians. I put the 10-2 with a HS and HMG in the central two hex building. There was also a squad and LMG in the same building. I had a HS and some ?? pretending to be an MG in the steeple. The two roadblocks were on the right side. I had a bit of early luck in breaking the 81 MTR crew before they assembled the mortar. Dave played a careful assault, forcing my troops to constrict in a smaller circle and yet keeping a lot of guys concealed. OTOH, I was not taking a lot of losses. I had my 8-0 with a DC destroy a HT that was BU and in motion mid-game, always a high point when one can do that. Near the end game, a HT used VBM to tie up a HMG squad, but spent a lot of MP in the hex. The HMG tried to kill the HT in order to remove the freeze. It shot ELEVEN times and finally killed the HT, BUT THE CREW SURVIVED to still lock the fire of the hex. In the end, the Germans did not take enough building hexes.
